The Indiana Society of Mayflower Descendants offers a merit scholarship program toward college tuition for eligible applicants. The deadline for the scholarship application is February 1.

Pilgrim in the Schools
Pilgrim in the Schools is a program for schools and organizations featuring Kevin Stonerock who portrays Pilgrim Stephen Hopkins. The Indiana Society of Mayflower Descendants offers a limited number of grants each year to Indiana schools in order to partially fund this program.

2025 Scholarships
Corbin Casassa
Corbin Casassa, son of Tony and Jill Casassa is a descendant of Isaac Allerton and the grandson of ISMD member Ann Lyman. Corbin is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Tennessee Tech University. He is also part of Tennessee Tech’s Baja SAE team where they design, build and race their Baja car. Corbin’s goal is to have an impactful career in the automotive industry.
Julia Hardacre
Julia Hardacre is the daughter of Joe and Suzanne Hardacre. She is the granddaughter of ISMD member Diane Ruth Shirley and a descendant of John Howland. Julia is attending the University of Dayton with a major in Biology. Her future goals are to enter medical school. She wants to study to be a physician and realize her dream of working with and using biological concepts to help others with their health and wellbeing.”
Monique Caraman
Monique Caraman is the daughter of Emanuel and Kristiana Caraman. She is the granddaughter of ISMD member Laverne Blowers and a descendant of John Howland. Monique is a junior at Ashbury University. An honors student, she is studying Media Communications with an emphasis in Production Design and a minor in History. Monique enjoys creative and artistic endeavors and loves international travel and cultural experiences.
